How the Hahnenkamm Races became the premium standard in winter sports. And how we prepared it for a post-linear-tv-era.

OUR JOB.

There is only one myth in ski racing, only one place when it comes to going beyond limits. Since 1931, the Hahnenkamm Races attract the world elite – skiers as well as visitors. Back in 1997 WWP stepped in to develop this sports platform into a premium event, both on and off the slopes. How? We brought in premium sponsors, and created business-to-business opportunities. And we enabled an outstanding stage for networking in bringing opinion leaders of all areas to the famous race in the Austrian Alps.

HIGH ALTITUDE. HIGH STANDARDS.

Given the international standing of the Hahnenkamm Races, WWP worked closely with the organisers to establish partnerships with a range of premium sponsors. The line-up includes Audi, Mastercard, Red Bull, UBS, Generali, A1, Gösser, BWT and Interwetten. Becoming a sponsor leads to unique experiences such as a visit to the legendary Start hut, which has earned the nickname “chamber of no return“ among the starters of the race.

FAST RACES.

After the last skier has crossed the finish line, WWPs very own KITZRACEClub provides a platform for both business leaders and entertainment. Located at finishing area of the Streif, celebrities, world-class athletes and more than 500 CEOs from various companies.

FAST BUSINESS.

For all of those who want to get on the slope, WWP runs the annual KITZCHARITYTROPHY, a VIP race for the benefit of Tyrolean farmers in need. Another link between sports and business is the KITZBIZZ B2B platform, an invitation-only summit for opinion leaders from internationally renowned corporations.

THE RESULTS.

The partnership between the Kitzbühler Ski Club, Austrian Ski Federation and WWP took the Hahnenkamm Races to a whole new level. While always being an outstanding fixture in the international race calendar, the sponsorships, events and platforms created by WWP added a new dimension. Take the KITZCHARITYTROPHY - in the 20 years since it’s inception, it raised 2,5 million Euro for almost 350 farmers.
